"Amleto"

The king of Denmark died; his son and heir to the throne, Prince Hamlet sees his specter appear in the ramparts of the castle of Elsinore, which reveals that he was poisoned by his brother Claudio who then married his widow, Queen Gertrude and usurped the throne.
Hamlet swears to his father to avenge him and begins to pretend to be mad to be able to discover all those responsible and accomplices, but he is tormented by doubts and indecisions that alternate moments of great emotional momentum and determination in him.
He rejects Ophelia, daughter of the Chamberlain Polonio, who loves and is loved in return; while questioning his mother in a dramatic interview, he kills Polonius, who has caught spying behind a curtain.
Claudio tries to get rid of his nephew by sending him to England with two false friends Rosencrantz and Guidersten who are charged with killing him. Ofelia, meanwhile, gone mad, drowns herself and her brother Laerte is determined to avenge his death and that of his father. Claudio takes advantage of this situation: he invites the two young men to confront each other in a bloodless duel, actually he poisons the tip of Laerte's sword and the wine to be offered to Hamlet.
The young prince is wounded, but he kills Laertes who reveals the truth to him and his uncle; the queen dies from drinking the poison destined for her son.
Before dying, Hamlet entrusted the only true friend of his life, Horace, with the task of narrating his story. The narrative closes with the arrival of Fortebraccio, Prince of Norway who assumes the government of the kingdom.
